How Ganacsato works
Ganacsato lists businesses of the Somali community around the world. Here is how listings and reviews are published.
- 1
Who can add a business
Anyone. The team checks every place before publishing it: the business exists, the address and phone number are right. The first people to add places get the Pioneer badge.
- 2
How an owner claims a listing
They prove the business is theirs: a code by text or call to the listed number, an email at the business domain, an official document or a message from their official account. A claimed listing gets the Verified badge.
- 3
How reviews are published
You need an account, and each person leaves one review per business. The review appears straight away, after a filter against insults and spam. Anyone can report a review, and the team reads it again.
- 4
What businesses may not do
Offer a gift, a discount or money for a review. Have a negative review hidden. Write reviews about their own business. A business can reply to reviews with the Pro plan.
- 5
Google reviews
On each listing we also show the business’s Google rating and latest Google reviews, as they are, with their author and a link to Google. We do not sort them and we do not keep them.
- 6
What the Pro plan changes, and what it does not
Pro features the listing, adds photos, a logo and statistics, and lets the owner reply to reviews. It never changes the rating, the order of reviews or what gets published.
